Day 4: Golden Gate Bridge and China Town

Good morning, it's day 4 in San Fran and it was quite the day! We slept in and took our time getting ready and then we hopped in the car for the day. We drove to the Golden Gate Bridge and stopped into the little gift shop they have before you cross. We found some super cute little souvenirs! And then we geared ourselves up and we began the trek across the bridge! It is seriously unlike anything you will ever experience. If you ever get the chance to walk across, take it! It's amazing!! We took our time, stopped to take pictures, and grandma even danced part of the way. We made it all the way across and back! I think it's like two and a half miles altogether. I even cartwheeled on the bridge haha. Such an amazing experience. Cross that off the bucketlist! And then we met up with grandpa at the beginning of the bridge and we decided to drive across into Sausalito. Driving across the bridge was amazing, and then you drive through the mountains into the cutest town! It's amazing how many different kinds of trees there were around. We were looking for somewhere to eat lunch, and we spotted a little pizza place, so turned around and went back to it. We love us some pizza and this pizza was AMAZING. Seriously, the best. We kept asking if they would deliver to Utah, but they told us no haha. But we all loved it! And then we got back in the car and I took a little nap because I was exhausted haha, but we drove past the marina and it was so beautiful! And then we drove back over the bridge and into China Town. We parked and got out to go shopping. The streets were decorated with the cutest hanging lanterns, and I love how all of the pictures turned out! So we went and shopped on all of the little streets, and then my mom (with her list of activities) found this little alley where they had a little fortune cookies factory/ store and it was actually so cool! Right when we walked in, the man handed us hot fortune cookies and they were delicious! The whole experience was so cool! My mom was so excited that we found it haha. We also found cute souvenirs here, and in every store they had these little lucky cats that waved at you, so of course I had to get one (: And then they started to close up their shops around 5:30, so we got back in the car and went back to the hotel. We ate cereal (out of plastic cups, because we are classy haha) for dinner and we just watched tv for a while. We were all pooped from the day. And then we got ready for bed and went to sleep, because we had a big day ahead of us!

  1. 1. I've never even realized hot fortune cookies could be a thing! That sounds delicious.
    2. Every time someone says they had "really good pizza," I always think, "What was it that made it so amazing? Because I really love Little Caesars Hot 'n' Readys."
    3. I thought your mom was wearing a gangster hat at first in that picture at the end, and I was about to get real excited.
