Blogmas Day 18, 2018

The past few Blogmas posts were really short and not super interesting, and today definitely made up for that haha.

I woke up this morning at 6:30 and layed there until 7. Then I got in the shower and got ready. And then I actually went downstairs and made cookies for work today. So that was exciting! And then I ate breakfast and painted for a while! I painted a picture for someone for Christmas so that was fun! I also listened to a podcast while painting which I honestly just love.
Then at 11:20 I went to work! It was a crazy day! It honestly passed by so quickly! We did lots of Christmasy stuff and passed out a lot of presents!! I also have the cutest co workers who brought the cutest little gifts! And then the day was over, so quickly! Now I’m on Christmas break!! Yay!!

This is where things get even better haha.
So I left work and I was headed to the store because I had some things to pick up. I needed to finish some Christmas shopping. So I’m headed that way when my car starts to run super weirdly.
And my car already sounds funny when it runs haha, so I pulled into this middle lane and turned off my car. I thought maybe if I just turned it off and on again it would be fine. I turn it on, start driving, it does it again, so I pull over on the side of the road and get out. My tire is shredded haha.

My first ever flat tire, it was awesome haha. So I’m standing by my car, the weather was actually pretty nice, and I was calling my mom, because I wasn’t far from the school. I called her like 8 times and she didn’t answer. Sometimes she goes a long time without checking her phone, so I was like, what am I supposed to do lol. None of my family are super close. So I end up texting Morris, one of my past teachers, who’s still one of my best friends haha. I assumed he was still at the high school which was pretty close, so I text him to ask if he could come and help me haha. And he called me and asked where I was and came within 5 minutes. Talk about the most amazing person, I am seriously so thankful for him. He found my spare tire ( I didn’t even know I had one lol), and realized it was out of air. So he took me to get air in the tire. Not to mention my card didn’t work so he paid for the air! And then took me back, and changed my tire, and taught me how to change it as well. And then he drove behind me on the way home to make sure I got back safe. He deserves a medal, I’m so thankful for him. Honestly, one of the most selfless people! Tender mercies!
Once I got home I decompressed for a min haha, and then mom and I actually made it to the store to do my Christmas shopping. It was a very successful trip and we picked up dinner, which was awesome!
And then I went upstairs, and did my nails. And I got my Christmas presents ready, and then hopped in the shower!
And now I’m going to peace out for the night!
Today I’m thankful for: Of course, Morris, and how incredible he is, and my sweet coworkers and students, and the nice weather, and blessings in disguise!
What a happy day (: See you tomorrow!!
