Time

Time is such a complex subject. All we have is time, yet it seems to be so fleeting. Last night, Sydney and I sat on the couch and talked about time. She told me about a day in ninth grade, she was at school talking to her friends, and she said "High school is going to be the longest four years of my life". Then a senior girl told her that it flies by so fast. Now Sydney is leaving on her mission in a few days, beginning a huge new stage of her life.
How is it that time flies by so fast? Don't you wish you could just pause time and relish in the moment for a little longer? Time is somewhat of a frightening concept, in the sense that once time has passed and you're looking back, you better hope you made the most out of the time you spent. I think we all have something to look forward to always, and that isn't bad, but we shouldn't rely on a tomorrow that we think we are promised. What if you knew you wouldn't get a tomorrow? Would you do anything with your life that wasn't extraordinary? We never know whether we get a tomorrow or not, but I don't want to take my chances of living anything less than an extraordinary life!
Don't waste away your days waiting for something ahead. You are living and breathing right now! Go on an adventure, make someone happy. Don't sit around waiting for life to give you what you want, because it won't. Tomorrow will come when it comes, but today is happening right now, and I guarantee, you could make right now an extraordinary moment that you will never forget.
