Blogmas Day 1, 2018
You guys. I can’t believe it’s already December. I swear I was just writing Blgomas for last year! I am so excited though! Hopefully I can keep up, and this post is already going up late lol, but this busy gal will try to keep up. This December 1st was one to remember for sure!
It started with an early morning getting ready to go to our family Christmas Party! It was just my mom and I who went from our family, but it was really fun! So many little kids haha, and they are all adorable! And I got to hang with my cousins, which I always love. We had lunch, and we read the Christmas Story, and then did a gift exchange. It was fun to talk to that side of the fam!
Then we came home and I worked on homework. Love that. I just had some random assignments that I needed to finish, so I did those. Then I just kind of hung out for a bit. And then around 3:15 I left to pick up my best friend Emily from her apartment and bring her back to my house for our date! We got to catch up on our drive which is always the best. And then we got back to my house and she got ready for the date, and we ate pizza for dinner. Lol I love pizza. Then our dates showed up! The guys we went with are from my astronomy class, and I asked one of them, and then set the other one up with Emily haha. So they came in, ate some food, and the guys watched part of a football game haha. Classic. And then we left for Salt Lake City to go see the temple lights!
You can tell from most of these pictures that I am laughing so hard haha. I literally lost my voice by the end of the night from laughing so hard. I swear, Kyler makes me laugh more than anyone I've ever met. It was a really good time! We drove around for forever just trying to find a parking spot haha, but finally found one and went and looked at the lights. The lights were so beautiful! Then we went into the Joseph Smith Memorial Building and we saw a long line, so obviously we got in haha. The little nice worker explained that it was for the #LightTheWorld campaign that the church does, and they were vending machines that you can pay for services for other people, because December 1st was Worldwide Day of Service! So we waited in line, and we bought 2 chickens for someone who needs them! It was actually so cool, I love that idea so much!
And then we just explored more and also went and got food. And we walked around some more and then went back to the car. There were so many funny moments, I can't even begin to name them. I swear I was laughing more than I wasn't which is an amazing feeling haha. It was a real good night. The drive home was super chill! We just listened and sang along to Christmas music, and Kyler sings so it was just amazing haha. And it started to snow really softly on our way home which was so beautiful! And then we got home and said goodbye to the guys, and Emily actually got to sleep over which was so fun! We just layed in bed talking for a while which was so fun. I miss her and I wish she didn't live far away haha. But it was super fun, and definitely a day I'll remember always. I am one happy girl (:
Today I'm thankful for: Good people. Emily. She is just awesome. And Kyler, who just makes me laugh and smile more than anyone. And the cute workers at temple square who were chatting with us. And all of my family that I got to see this morning. People are so good, and they make me so happy. Yay for the first day of Blogmas, and I can't wait to see how the rest of this month unfolds!
