The Good Things in Life

Happy New Years Day. I just can't even believe that it's actually 2017. So crazy good. Today has been a good one, and it's only 3:54, and that's saying a lot, because at like 4 am I threw up this morning :/ haha. But I just wrote missionary letters, and I got to take the Sacrament and my dress has pockets. So it's all good haha. But really, today I was talking to my cute friends after church and we were just talking about how much we loved each other and life, and that sounds pretty cheesy but it just made my heart happy. And our lessons were just awesome today, and I've got a CELEBRATE banner hanging on my wall, and I am just realizing how good life is. And I think one of the best things about life is that it gets better. Reflecting on this past year, there were some really really terrible days. Can I get another really. Haha. But I just think it's the coolest thing that life gets better. You will never just be left in the dark. And if you do feel stuck in the dark remember that "Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if one simply remembers to turn on the light". And when everything comes full circle, you will realize that those really really (really) bad days were preparing you for much better days ahead. And these days when you are sitting on your bed listening to your fav music, staring at the sun setting through your window, and contemplating your blessings, you will remember those dark days, and you will realize that you conquered that. And that means when hard times come again, you can conquer those too. And the good news is that when you hit rock bottom, the only way left is up! That's promising. And guess what, Christ's hands are always stretched out to you. If you are tired of me preaching, I don't apologize haha. Because Christ wants to help you, and I want you to know that. Just say a small prayer to him. And he will listen. At 4 am this morning I was on my knees in the bathroom feeling so sick, and you better believe that I said a prayer to my Heavenly Father, and I know he listened. And he will listen to your prayers too. And that is the good news. Christ is The Good Thing in Life. BECAUSE HE LIVES. And that is amazing.
