Step outside the box

Just now, being on this earth for my short 15 years, I'm starting to understand that there is much more to life than just living. I feel like we are raised to think we live in a box and we can't leave that box, because that is what is comfortable. But life is really happening outside of your comfort zone. The real juicy stuff, where ideas are made. Don't you want to live there. When we are little kids we dream about being astronauts and veterinarians. Then we grow up and those things we are passionate about seem to drift away. Why. I think you should go out and do whatever you set your mind to. Ever since I was a little girl, my dad told me that we should open a bakery. In my little girl mind I totally thought it was doable. I thought it would be a reality. But as I grew up, it was always just a funny thing. Like, oh, yeah, we could totally open a bakery, and you could have this job haha. No. I'm done with funny business, and I'm done with mediocre. We have limited days on this earth, and I don't want to spend my days sitting in a cubicle hating my job. Where did this mindset come from that you have to push aside the things you love, and take a job that you hate just to make enough money. If you are doing what you absolutely love, isn't that more important than the income. Imagine if Walt Disney gave up his big ideas because things seemed a bit too hard and uncomfortable. I started my bakery business this week. And I got so so so many orders. My dad told me that I will probably find that I am putting a lot more work into something that I won't get paid much for.

 And I am overwhelmed. I am stressed and uncomfortable. AND THAT IS OKAY. Because I love love love baking with everything that I am. The amount of food I will be making this week is insane, but I believe in myself. And that is definitely enough to get me somewhere. And some people will look at you and think you are out of your mind. AND THAT IS OKAY. Because the real power lies within yourself, and not in someone else. You can if you think you can. This post is all over the place, but I hope you get something out of it. I just really want people to understand that life is not going to hand you what you want. If you are passionate about something, you should go get it. Step out of your box and experience life. Because if not, then you will be working for someone else, who did step out of their box.
